Board of Education To the Class of 1966 Congratulations on your graduation! We, on the Board of School Directors, along with the Administration and the Faculty have striven to provide you with the opportunity for a comprehensive education. We have provided the opportunity. If you have taken advantage of it, you are ready to forge ahead in the world. Because your education at Northeast was comprehensive it was of a necessity basic, and I fear, in some subjects, barely rudimentary. However, if you have mastered two fundamental skills; the ability to read and the ability to think and reason, the universe, with all its rewards, is open to you. You are limited only by your ambition and your initiative. With your ability to read, all the knowledge accumulated since the dawn of history is before you to be absorbed. With your ability to reason the unknown in your workshop and the challenge to investigate the mysteries yet to be solved and the discoveries yet to be exposed await only your assiduous industry. I am proud to have been a part of your formative years and I know I shall be prouder still, as each of you make your imprint on the pages of history. Good luck to you all. Very sincerely yours, Walter A.
