DeANGELIS B.S., M.Ed., Pennsylvania State University To the Class of 1965: As you leave us to go your separate ways, I should like to remind you of the necessity to constantly search for ways and means of stimulating your thinking. The complexities of today’s living makes this mandatory. Without such stimulation of your thought processes, you face the possibility of a return to that type of thinking which belongs in the dead” past and which has no place in the world of tomorrow—thinking that embodies prejudice, hate, intolerance, greed, and the entombment of the freedom of man. What you become in the future rests upon the foundations that you have developed today. We, at Northeast Bradford, would like to feel that we have contributed a major portion toward the stimulation of your thinking—thinking that we hope ultimately develops within you the material that will help to build the citizen who contributes positively to his society. Administration To the Class of ’65 In athletics, we often read about the All-American who succeeds because he is capable of a second effort’’ when he is about to be stopped just short of the goal line. We say he has great desire”. Imagine, if you will, a large sign on the front lawn which reads This is Northeast Bradford. It Is the Center of the Earth. Beginning From Here, You Can Go Anywhere.” This can be true for you if you are willing to give that second effort”. You can be an All-American in whatever you choose to become if you have enough desire”. The road to success and happiness is seldom easy but the result is worth the effort.
