This club has many activities throughout the year that serve the purpose of raising money, helping others, and providing for our own enjoyment. We hav e money for various reasons which are paying one half of the girls ' expenses while they attend the State F.H.A. conference at Penn State University,, and purchasing things needed for the club and the homemaking department. We help others by sending clothing to a mountain orphanage in North Carolina, and making favors for the hospital at Easter. For our own pleasure we have guest speakers and parties on special occasions. We also had a panel discussion on the Teenage Budget. There are many possibilities for the members of our club, such as an opportunity to earn three degrees of achievement. These degrees are; Junior, Chapter, and State Homemaker degrees. Purposes: 1. To promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfactions of homemaking. 2. To emphasize the importance of worthy home membership. 3. To encourage democracy in home and community life. 4. To work for good home and family life for all. 5. To promote international good will. 6. To foster the development of creative leadership in home and community life. 7. To provide wholesome individual and group recreation. 8. To further interest in home economics.
