The photography group tried some new chemicals that are claimed to be much improved over the ones used in the years before. This group planned to send an exhibit to the Williamsburg Science Fair. The radio group got a radio kit to build. This radio kit was a four-in-one kit which can be used as a receiver, a transmitter, a code practice oscillator, and an amplifier. The astronomy group bought a one hundred power telescope. They took some pictures through this telescope to send to Williamsburg Science Fair. The fall rally of the Eastern Shore Federation took place at Northampton High School October 18, at which time the officers of the year were installed by the very impressive candle light ceremony. In December the local chapter sponsored a Christmas exhibit at the cottage. The gifts displayed were varied and colorful. Many parents, members of the faculty, and students attended. In January the F. H. A. sponsored a bazaar, the proceeds of which were used for project work. A movie was sponsored by the club in February. In April the club delightfully entertained at the annual Mother-Daughter Banquet, Although the members of the club worked hard as a group to make the club pro- jects a success, many hours of play were also shared. Last year, the Yellow-Jackets, coached by Russell Kellam and Rodney Warren, finished the season with a record of five win and two losses, with one of the games having finished in an unofficial tie. Coach George Young expects to field a fast and experienced team, as quite a few members of last year did not receive a letter but gained valuable experi- ence, Last year's lettermen not shown in the picture are: George James, Sonny Smith, John Small, Grayson Fitzgerald, and Ben Kellam.
