SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We, the class of 1966 entered Northampton County High School in Septem¬ ber of 1961. Our homeroom teachers were: Mr. Sisco, Mrs. Hastings, Mrs. Cherry, Mr. Adair, Miss Brown and Mr. Collins. Ours was a year of hustle and bustle. We were extremely excited and eager to learn. Della Z. Collins was Miss Eighth Grade in the Homecoming Activity. Katie M. White repre¬ sented us beautifully in the May Day Activities. That was a year to remember; it was our beginning. In September of 1962, we entered as jolly freshmen; ready to begin another year’s work. Our homeroom teachers were; Mr. Polk, Mr. C. Brickhouse, Mrs. M. Collins, Mr. Collins and Mr. Adair. Garnet Baines was the first person to win second place in the Science Conference on the state level in the history of our school. Claudette Brickhouse won third place in algebra in the District Conference. We achieved greatly academic wise that year. September of 1963, we let the summer dust out of our hair, put away our picnic baskets, and settled back for another year ' s achievement. As sopho¬ mores our teachers were: Mrs. Christain, Mrs. McCuller, Mrs. Upshur, Mr. Cook and Mr. Adair. Margaret F. Wynder was Miss Tenth Grade and Shelia Satchell represented us on May Day. Geraldine House won the spelling bee and Claudette Brickhouse won in the oratorical contest for her original speech. We were happily united again in the September of 1964, as Juniors, full of enthusiasm for the coming events. Our homeroom teachers were Miss Jami¬ son, Mr. Fisher, Mr. Adair, Miss Crayton and Mr. Sisco. Our theme for the prom was Evening in Hawaii . It was quite a success. Vann Brickhouse and Garnet Baines won fourth place in geometry at the Distict Conference. Carolyn Morris won the Eibrary Conference award. Velvet Copes won first place in the Art Show held at school. Eugene Harmon ended the academic year by winning the annual spelling bee. Betty Jacobs was our representative in the Homecoming Activities and Brenda Sessoms was our May Day representative. We are finally Seniors. Our homeroom teachers are Mr. Busch, Mr. Daniels, Mr. Sisco, and Mrs. Phifer. This year will forever stand out in our memory and our high school days, for our mission will soon be accomplished. Eleanor Wilson was Miss Homecoming this year. Maurice Rogers and Kenneth Nocks were captains of our football team. This year also marks the end of a part of a happy time in our lives and we are somewhat reluctant to say farewell. We go, with the thought that only the first pages of our history book has been c ompleted and we face the future with plans to write glorious more pages of history.

We pray that Thou will help us to understand and appreciate the teachings of our parents, our principal and our teachers in order that we might profit in conquering the mysteries of this perplex world. SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY 1976 Welcome to the first class reunion of the Senior Class of 1966. Everyone looks healthy as usually. They look like well respective people in their re¬ spective fields. Let us take a peep and find out what each and everyone has been doing over the past ten (10) years. Velvet Copes is a doctor; not a medical but a psychologist. Her main interest is patients with love problems because this was her largest problem in high school and still is. Her regular patients are Cleo Giddens, Beverly Jones, Sallie Moorefield, Marion Ames, Shirley Bailey, and Ann Robinson. Wilda Stevens is the President of the Lonely Hearts Club. Vice President is Goldie Church, Secretary is Geraldine Washington Treasurer is Pearlie White, and Chaplain Ella Henderson. The Watchman is Valencia Powell because she is tall enough to see over all the eligible lonely bachelors thus giving the Lonely Heart ' s Club the first chance at them. Brenda Sessoms own the Ladies Shop in Paris. For the best in the latest fashions of the year, shop at Sessoms Ladies Shop. After nine years of romance, Mocile White and Roland Gunter were joined together in holy matrimony by Rev. Robert Townsend. The maid of honor was Constance Andrews, best man Charles Mason, bridesmaids Stella Harmon, Doretha Frazier and Margaret F. Wynder. Rev. Herbert Mapp performed his first marriage ceremony July 10, 1965, Dorothy Vennie and Fred Gunter. Maid of honor was Luray Powell, best man Willie Bailey, bridemaids Shelia Satchell, Rebecca Johnson, Regina Wright, LaVerne Doggett and Brenda Kellam. Deborah Savage was the first woman astronaut to land on the moon. The female Martians are crazy about Henry Powell, Leroy Ames, Joseph Ames, and Leroy Ames. While the male martians just dig those earthling fe¬ males Annie Beckett, Eleanor Wilson and Elezine Johnson. Pilot Clifton Bailey and co-pilot Clifton Moses and crew men Larry Taylor, Abron Ayers, Charles Fisher and Tommy Sanders were on a secret mission for the Air Force when their Space Craft went out of control and they became lost in space. Geraldine House is teaching French on the moon. C ' est la vie! (That is the Life). The only barbers on Jupiter are Theodore Watson and James Thompson. Their regular customers drop by once a month. They are Larry House, Theo- droe Reid, James Sample, Eddie Weeks, Ashby Harmon and George Henderson. Phillip Williams is the leader of the hottest group out. They have the number one record in town entitled Help Me , (I ' m A Flop). His group consist of 29
