Miss E. Crayton ENGLISH Shaw University GUIDANCE COMMITTEE Youth continually face problems in understanding themselves and making decisions. On every side they are faced with increasingly complex social and economic patterns and widening occupational opportunities. With these changes have come greater em¬ phasis on individual differences and the development of programs which see to give systematic aid to all students. Therefore we are trying to provide a program which aid all students to make wise decisions and good adjustments. Through the Guidance Committee and staff members the following services are available to all students; Individual Inventory, Informational, Counseling, Placement, and Follow-up. These services should assist student in knowing himself if as an individual and as a member of society; in making the most of his strengths and in correcting or compensating for his weakness that interfere with his progress; in learning about occupations so that he may intelligently plan and prepare for a career; in learning about educational opportunities available to h im; and in discovering and developing creative and leisure interests.
