Principal’s Message a EETING TO THE SENIORS OF 1959 It is always an honor and a source of great pride to commend each Senior class for the Perpetuation of our “Lighthouse” that has been shining and still shines for those who have beat a part of its making. This being true, we wish to commend you, the Seniors of 1959, on a job continued and well done. With the publication of this issue, it indicates that another class has passed through the educational processes of Northampton County High, and more than ever, it should mean that your ability to think has matured and expanded with the passing years. You should at this stage be able to think more critically, because your environmental or educational experiences have been meaningful. We wish you to remember that every individual is continually faced with the task of making wise choices which require thought and judgement -- these choices are more challenging in the world that you are about to face than at any other time in our history, because coupled with the other challenges you face will be the challenge of space. Even with this, nothing must be allowed to hamper or impede the developmait of critical thinking on your part that is so essoitial for a good and useful life. We look forward to you being 20th century pioneers who have turned from land and mine to the many challenges of human dignity and space. Our frontiers are no longer in the West -- rather in research laboratories and human hearts which make them frontiers without limit. It is essential as you make your way through the squalls and alarms of the next decade that you keep your eyes on the main goal which is the continuation of our progress to greater abundance. As we see it, life holds many successes for you, so please accept my sincere best wishes. Your Principal, W. H. Smith
