‘ hyretqmni gather at S'Xi’HLS During the week of April 2. seven exchange students from other school districts were invited to Northampton Senior High School to celebrate International Week. Participating along with our student body and faculty were exchange students Cristy de la Pena and Christian Ramsenthaler. Foreign language teachers Nancy Bowman, Laura Pieroni, Ronald Kresge, and Daniel Rempp, along with their students, were involved in the preparations. On Friday, April 6, International Foods Day was held. A lunch was served to the students. Among ‘the foods available were German sausage, pla-tanos, enchiladas, and chocolate mousse. Approximately 380 lunches were served. NHS's exchange students enjoyed meeting the students from other schools and talking in their native languages. Other students believed it was interesting to meet people from other parts of the world. Darryl Kotz. Mall Fodor. and Rich Hildebrand hand out sangria to the students. Senor Rempp prepares the enchiladas before lunch. The language teachers dress up in their foreign attire. Students from around the world gather at Northampton High School for Internation al Week.

“(2 to Balloons forming rainbows of color over the dance floor combined with dimmed lights and the theme song, This Could Be the Night,” created the perfect atmosphere for the 1986 Junior-Senior Prom held on Friday, May 30. at the Holiday Inn West. I strive to create a warm atmosphere for the young adults who have all pleased me while advising the prom committee for the past three years,” said the junior class advisor Sharon Pascoe. Along with Pascoe, the junior class officers and prom committee joined together to raise money to purchase decorations, table centerpieces, and hire a live band, The Front.” A highlight of the evening was the crowning of prom king and queen. Brad Creyer and Wendy Hill. It is an exciting honor to receive, and I never expected it,” expressed Hill excitedly. As for Creyer, he nonchalantly said, I’m glad I won for Wendy’s sake.” The prom-goers hit the dance floor.
