A yearbook is a memory book of our school years. Our theme is time: time we spent together in high school and also time we spent growing. In keeping with our theme we would like to dedicate this book to all the people who have crossed our paths at different times of our lives. We first dedicate this book with love to our parents in thanks for all the care they spent in raising us. Even though there have been difficult times when we haven's always agreed with our parents, wc do realize that every thing they did was to help us become proper, responsible people. We also dedicate this book to our teachers, counselors, coaches and other adult leaders. We thank these people for expending so much time and energy to help us mature physically, mentally, and emotionally. In our haste, we often times neglect these people who have dedicated their lives to the young. And of course, we dedicate this book to all our friends with whom we spent all these years. We thank our friends for laughing at our jokes, holding our hands when we cried, and for being available to help when help was needed. Memories fade, but years from now when we reopen this book, a flood of emotions will come back to us and we shall once again remember our parents, teachers, and friends and rededicate this book and our thanks. The times we've laughed. The times we've cried. The times we’ve shared. The times we’ve tried. Our high school years Go much too fast. Before we know it They’ll be the past. Those thirty-six weeks Are always the same. They come and they go. But the memories remain We’ve counted the days, One-eighty in all. Some short and some long times spent with us all. Dornbach Athletic Secretary Mrs. Mary llagley Secretary Mrs. Doris Handler Secretary Mrs. l.orretta l.ipositz Guidance Secretary Mrs. Joan I'ristasli Secretary Pete Scheidcr A long-time athlete, coach, teacher, counselor, and friend to many individuals, he has been aptly described as “A giant of a man with a heart to match.” While attending Northamption High School, he was a member of the football “Wonder Team which won the Lehigh Valley League title. He was leading scorer on the District XI champion basketball team and an honorable mention All-State candidate as well. He was also a pitcher for the baseball team which won the District XI title. After graduating from Northampton in 1938, he enrolled in Muhlenberg College and received a degree in Social Studies. He lettered in four sports at Muhlenberg and was named the Most Outstanding Athlete of 1942. Mr. Schneider then went on to play semi-professional football and baseball after a four-year stint in the service. He earned a Masters degree in Education at Lehigh University and joined the staff at Northampton in 1948. He taught Social Studies before becoming a full-time Guidance Counselor. He has been the head coach for basketball and golf, as well as the line coach for the football teams coached by A1 Erdosy and Lou Wolf. His list of activities include the Student Council, graduation, class advisor, YMCA Council, and Holy Name Society. He continues to touch the lives of many people as a friend, coach, confident, husband and father. We would like to wish Mr. Schneider much happiness in the future.
