Dedication With deep regret the students and faculty note the departure of Mr. Norman A. Laub from the halls of Northampton Area High School. Through the passing years, Mr. Laub has become a symbol of stability and progress at Northampton, for it was through his efforts that the school's varied curriculum and excellent athletic pro- gram were made available. To many people he was the man who directed the ever- increasing lunch traffic, the man who enforced the school dress code, and the man to whom all problems could be taken. No crisis, large or small, was denied the right of a fair hearing. The faculty especially remembers him for the help he gave them in times of stress and trouble. The students remember him as the man who taught them manners, dress, and school pride. Students and faculty look forward to working with the new principal, Mr. Robert E. Mushrush, who has assumed the never-ending and trying problems associated with being principal of a relatively large high school, but both moan the retirement of one of Northampton's foremost educational leaders. Both thank him for a iob well done and wish him lasting suc- cess in his future endeavors. It is to this educational leader that the Amptennian staff of 1969 willingly and gratefully dedicates this book.
