It's Teachers' Turn tn Learn During the past two years the Northampton Chamher of Commerce has paid annual visits to our school, has ohserved us at worlc, and has lunched with us in our cafeteria. ln order to malce this fellowship cycle complete our teach- ers reversed the procedure this year hy visiting eleven industries ol the community. So March 3 was a half-day holiday for usl Qur puhlic school teaching staff-66 strong --hegan the trip with a lesson in malcing cement. They followed the entire process from the quarry to the packing houses. Many were the wonders they heheld. and many were the steps they climhedll Alter Uahsorhingn the lesson on cement, the teachers divided into smaller groups and visited ten other local industries. Below are a lew ol the pictures: the rest were out ol locus. tRememher, it was the day hahy Jeffrey Papp was hornll ln the evening the teachers and members ol the Chamher of Commerce joined forces at a fellowship dinner in the Garfield Repuhlican Cluh. The usual Uhirdieu told us that the 'But- tons and Bows theme was a hig hit: the dinner. de-e-licious: the entertainment furnished hy our high school music department, very enjoyahle: and the speaker. the Honorahle Senator Paul l.. Xvagner, most excellent. Since the affair was such a success, we sug- gest that the local P.S.E.A. and Chamher of Commerce sponsor more ol its lcind-and that we have more hall-day holidaysl EEE
