Nothing at all important-unless its foundation, laid deep in living rock and solid concrete, suggests that Truth is the only foundation on which you can build an enduring life. Nothing at all importantfunless its superstructure. oxer-arched and under-girded with steel, teaches you that Character. and Character alone, will hold yoeir life together and enable you to stand four-square to all the winds that blow. Nothing at all important-unless its interior, beautiful and immaculate as it is, persuades you to keep all stain from the white-walled Corridors of your own heart. Nothing at all important-unless its symmetrical whole, revealing the clear purpose of those who con- ccix ed and built it. reminds you that a noble purpose, nobly executed, and this alone, will make your life more beautiful and useful, Nothing at all importantfunless its Spirit, drawing inspiration from the Ancient of the past. proclaims to you. through all the years that are to come: Except the Lord of Truth, and Beauty. and Righteousness build the house, they labor in vain that build it. 7 PM UP- xi' J RQ X Rb F., ,Q +L-sC Ehd., ITT' .. 1 Boavrdwaux. Bv the terms of his fathers will, Drew must be settled in his father's business, Cranes Pickles, Incorporated, and be married to a girl of whom his aunt approves, by the time he is twenty-two, Otherwise, his inheritance goes to various charities and his shares of Crane's Pickles will be divided among the stockholders. Now, Drew hates pickles and the pickle business. He ia avidly interested in astronomy. Also he cloesn't fancy any of the girls Aunt Rhoda has trotted out for his inspection. For Drew has enormously high ideals about womanhood. He demands perfection in a girl and is sure that one day he will find the perfect girl. To the Sea Cliff Hotel, a fashionable summer resort, comes Drew and his aunt, Also present are Mrs, Van Dyke Beard, a socialite, and her young daughter, Carlotta. Mrs. Fleming believes Carlotta to be the ideal wife for her nephew and Mrs. Beard is most anxious for the match for her financial status has suffered a severe setback. But the only girl at the'resort who attracts Drew at all is Flo Randolph, the public stenographer, who with her pal, Trixie Trimmer, a manicurist, are really two wealthy and socially prominent girls from Chicago who have taken jobs at the hotel incognito in order to be themselves and have some fun. , A lovely girl appears on the scene, She is an ethereal beauty which is like nothing on this earth. She is Miss Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty. As she knows nothing but truth, her candor is alarming to the mortals. She succeeds in adjusting many love affairs that have gone awry. Drew finally finds perfection in Flo, for, as Miss Starlight, admonishes: The perfect person exists only through the eyes of love. 30 MUSIC GAN9 11 1 f 1 IN IN 11 V1n11 11 1111 G1n1111111 Doug, 1 14111011 C111 IC R1L11lf11 F11111g1 D11n11111 11611111 E111111111 Bu11hcr GLl1Tj,t 811.11111 F11 11111 G111111111 F1111 Hu1111:1 111 H 1111 n 1 111 1 1111 1111 1111 111 51 IHC 11,10 ms R111-1 1111 R11n111 1'1n11 P1111 K0 1 1 N 1111111111 R1111 1111s C111 1:11111 E1111111 HCIIIIID V1n11n1 1.101 1 1111111 1 'NI.1x1n1 M1D1111111t1 R011111 R111111111 R 11111 111111116 R1111111 R1 1n XX11111111 K11111111111f Dcnnls 51111111 H1111 K1n1111 O111 band 0111 01 1111 11I'gLSf and 11n1s1 IU 1111 111s1011 01 our 5111001 11.15 un1111 1111 111111110n 01 A E XX 11111111 I1 111111111 fOf 1h1 111110u5 P T A 5 1111ou3,110u1 1111 y01111u11 1111 Annual DIFCCIOFS Dlnner and 111 1 1111111111 01 1111 Y0111 C 1111 D1f1n51 T1111 also p 1101111111 101 1ss1111b1115 dfld b.1s1111bJ11 2111111115 at 1111 111111 s1110o1 111fOLIg11OL11 1111 5111001 ,CAF S1111.11 01 1111 11111111111s p.111111p.11111 ID 1111 10111 County 1'1Ius11 1 15111.11 1511111111 XX 111s H118 511111111 10 p,111111p.111 IH 1111 D1s11111 OfL11LSffd 11111111 11.15 111111 .11 M111111c1o1111 H1g11 5111001 Wiafomfim, xt I 1 1 D1111111111 11 N 1 1n11 H1 1 1 OD F011 F1 1 11n11'1111 1 111 1 N 111 11111 111111 111n1 H1111 N111111 N111 111111 1 n Hr11m111 Sl 1 1 2 4, I I f' URK J F11 1'0X', lufl ff 'lK2!7f,' B.lI ' Mgtg 1 -E11111 L1 g E '1.s.
