FCDREWCDRD ONE ARE THE DAYS, in reality, spent in North 'York - f 9 . N 45 High bchool by the forty-'two members of the graduf J . , . . ating class of 44. However, it is our purpose that, through issuing this repertory of memories, these days be vividly imprinted in our minds. Even though there was an uncertainty of the publishing of the yearbook because of the circumstances due to the war, plans were made and preparations advanced. We strived to obtain the best despite government regulations and restrictions on paper, photographic supplies and various other utilities. Since the panther was adopted as the school symbol and is found on our athletic suits and band uniforms, the class of '44 unanimously elected it as the name for our yearbook. This step was taken because the members were of the opinion that to do so would be consistently carrying through this symbol. Thus this issue of the annual publication is to have for its appellation Hffhe Panther.
