Sime is the heartbreaker of our class. He has a girl in every class, just as a sailor has a sweetheart in every port. Scottie has proved to be a basketball hero. He is superior in this field, and we hope he may be a professional some day. Sime has some trouble with the opposite sex5 he cannot make up his mind if it's to be a certain blonde or brunette. We hope he does not wait too long or he may be left out altogether. BYRON BORING Commercial Activities-Basketball: 2, 3, 45 Operetta: 1, 2, 3, 45 Soccer: lg Glee Club: l, 2, 45 Play Ticket Committee 3, 4. Byron is one of our basketball players. He has proved himself to be reliable on the basketball floor. Although he is a quiet, reserved boy, Bugs can be seen surrounded by classmates discussing happenings about the game the night before, Byron also displayed his vocal ability in four oper- ettas. Ambition takes a great interest in the commercial work. After you learn to know him, he is a real friend. We know he will succeed in whatever he attempts. Hand in hand we find Butter and her winning smile- where one is, there we find the other. Her two dimples give evidence of her pleasing personality. Dink is a very ac- tive girl and spends every summer camping in the moun- tains. Butter, who is one of the notorious Titanic crew, could often be seen in the vessel, sailing about town on the way to a basketball game or some equally interesting place. CHESTER BRANDT Commercial Activities-Class Play: 35 Baseball: 3, 45 Glee Club: 4. Here is another exceptional brand of the class. His good looks and fine personality attract many girls, especially Freshmen and Sophomores. We all wonder why Chet likes to go into room 8. He drives an automobile and prefers be- ing chauffeur for that certain Freshman lassie. Chester is a very fine boy. He takes a great interest in his studies. He enjoys taking part in plays. lf anyone wants a good baseball player, call on Chet Chester wishes to make use of his commercial knowledge in the future. . -q l5 y!

U45 Alfzwrff.-n, 47935 MAURICE BAKER Classical Activities-Bazaar Committee Z, Science Club: 4. Maurice is the shy boy of our class. He is not interested in the opposite sex, but he didn't have his dream yet, any- way, it is sure to come some day. Baker is very intel- ligent in Math and in his other studies in the classical course. Maurice has not yet decided what his future plans are, but, whatever he chooses, he is sure to do well. Behold! the heart smasher of the class. Many girls fell for Bob during his high school career, but finally one cap- tured him. Bob is noted for his athletic ability, he al- ways plays a good and clean game of basketball, Also, he has secured many honors in track. Barton is very intelligent in his studies and partic- ipated- in a large number of school activities. No matter into what field he goes for his life work, the class of '35 wishes him lots of good fortune. Beshore hasn't time to worry, hence she is always making friends and keeping them. Her optimism will do much in helping her attain success in the future, WILLIAM BLESSING Classical Activities-Athletic Association: l, 2, 3, 4, School News: l, 2, 3, 4, Basketball: 2, 3, 4, Bazaar Committee: 2, Base- ball: Z, Class Play: 3, Ring Committee: 4, Vice President of Class: 1. Did you say something about basketball? Well, here's a boy who is especially interested in this sport and knows how to play, too. Vic seems to have a continual attrac- tion on North Duke street,-continual, because the affair has been going on tor nearly four years. By the way he- ob- tains ads for the school paper, there would be chances that Blondie might become a successful business man, however, instead of choosing this vocation, he is going to he a second Lindbergh, a special distinction to our class. -K 14 5-

35.5 egflmgliffz, 193 CARL BYERS Commercial Activities-Basketball: 1, Z, Baseball: 1, 2, 3, 4, Track: 2, 3, 47 Frolic Committee: 3, 45 Operetta: Z, 3, 4. Speaking ot hearts, we believe that Car1's has a rather weak tendency toward the lair sex. However, he doesn't show any partiality toward any special one ot them. You can fairly see the lun twinkling in his blue eyes. He is al- ways ready to laugh and have a good time. We know Byersie because of his vocal and athletic ability and sportsmanship. North York High School will miss its Dizzy Dean. Carl has served in this honorable position during his entire high school career. WALTER DHERIT Commercial Activities-Basketball: 1, Operetta: 1, 2, 45 School News: l, 2, Glee Club: 2, 45 Play Ticket Committee: 3, 4, Dra- matic Club: 4. Bud is one ot the ambitious lads ot our class, espe- cially when he's doing something he likes, as working in Perry's barber shop. Through persistence and a good sales talk, Blondie is the champion Sparkler seller ot his class. His sense of humor comes to the rescue when averse con- ditions ariseg this accounts for Mickie's popularity. Bud has no definite goal in mind, but whatever he may choose, he is sure to reach it with such traits as his. STUART DOLL Activities--Basketball: 1, 2, 3. Commercial Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce the great fisherman ot our class. During the noon hour or in the morning Stue can be seen relating his experiences with a group ot fish-mided boys surrounding him. Stuart seems to display no interest in any feminine member at North York, perhaps she doesn't live in this community. lt Stue is as constant in his work alter leavng school as he has been in school, nothing can prevent him from prospering. WILEY DRESSEL Commercial Activities-Basketball: l, 2, Glee Club: 4, Class Play Poster Committee: 3, 4. Wiley is one ot the smallest boys of our class. He ex- presses many new ideas in P. O. D. class and the result is an uproar ot the class. Professor Wiley Milton Dressel hopes to grow oil wells some day, as well as change Webster's definition ot manslaughter. According to our genius, manslaughter is when you cut 'ern up more. We, the class of '35, wish Wiley all the luck in the world and hope he succeeds in all his attempts. -1 is 5-
