ki V1Kl C3 While North High School was still two separate units, as far as facilities were concerned, the Juniors and Sen- iors, Sponsors, and Administrators from Mountain View and Traphill units met in the Mountain View Gymnasium in the early spring of i957 to choose a mascot for the new North High School. A list of acceptable mascots had pre- viously been complied, and from this list, we selected the ' Viking. The Vikings were strong, brave, and daring peo- ple, thus we felt that this symbol would serve our school well as a mascot. FOREWORD As we, the first Seniors to graduate from North High School, pause in our work to look around us before we say good-bye to dear North High, we realize whatourschool, teachers, parents, and friends have meant to us. Our kindest appreciation goes out to those who have helped us. And now as we look toward the future, we, the Senior class, wish to leave to the students who will soon follow in our footsteps our love for school and good times. 5
