After many hours of hard work and practice, they won the county cheerleading trophy. To us they were the best, but we wanted to let the county know too. They did wonders with the pep club which boasted its largest membership in years; 81. So to you Claudia, Cindy, who are seniors, and Sherri, and Marsha, who are juniors, we the '66 Troy dedicate the sports section to you. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Huber who sponsored the pep club. Through her guidance and devotion, our pep club was the best in the county. This year was a successful season for both Donnie and Bud. Bud’s B-Team won 14 games and only lost four. Donnie's Varsity won 14 games and lost 8. His baseball team won the county championship. To both we dedicate to the profession of coaching. They put in many long hours of work to get their teams in tip top shape and ready to meet their foes. To them we say thank you and well done. This year our managers of the team were Don Jernigan, a senior, and Terry Bowser, a junior. They put in many hours of taking care of the aches and pains, the equipment, and the tranquilizers of the team. After school or last period if no one else was around, Don and Terry were polishing balls, hanging up jackets, or any other odd job that needed to be done. Nice Job.
