Donna Babb 10. Jo Reiff CLASS PROPHECY Well, here it is 1968 and the class of '58 is having their fifth bienniel reunion. We're meeting this year in the beautiful and luxurious Commodore Perry hotel owned and operated by DOUGLAS DARR. Anyone can see at a glance that the interior decorating was done by the famous LARRY SPRY. The hotel's head chef is none other than our own BECKY GASKILL, whose specialty comes in a can. As we glance into the casino, we see at the roulette table cardshark CARTER, the millionaire gambler. Beside her stands her traveling companion and treasurer, DONNA BABB. We then stroll onto the terrace and see none other than PEGGY BLACK sitting, of all places, at the bottom of the oool with her drawing board. She has become famous by drawing figure divers from a fish's viewpoint. As we enter the hotel again, we see the hotel chambermaid hurry down the hall witn ner scrub bucket. Well, bless tny soul, if it isn't BERT HUDSON. She does this in her odd hours as a hobby while DONALD FERVERDA, her husband, spends most of his time speaking at agricultural conventions on the subject of Why Jerseys Are Best. We look at the clock and see that it's three in the afternoon and guests are beginning to arrive. In through the door strolls authoress, Jeannie Trestrail, famous for her book I Fought tne World Alone. Carrying her bags is the hotel’s bellboy, ALLEN STREBY. He took this job after failing with his farm project of raising stringbeans. All of a sudden we hear a great roaring, sputtering, and popping in front of the hotel. It’s JO REIFF, the only woman to climb Mount Everest on a motorcycle. Stop that woman says Peace Officer Larry Mauzy. LARRY MAUZY has been Chief of Police in North Webster ever since he decided that crime doesn't pay. Right behind him is the town lawyer, BOB Mason WOOD. He is world renowned as a criminal. (Lawyer) We're back in the ballroom now and more guests have arrived. Sitting at the first table to our left is Mrs. Phil Fidler, the former BARBARA BOYER. She flew up from Florida where she is a skin diver for the Real Imitation Pearl Company. Sitting with her is SANDRA FIDLER, the multimillionaire designer. She gained all her wealth from designing men's sport pants, with the new below the belt fashion. The two blondes sitting at the next table are JEANETTE CHRISTY and VIVIAN BAUGHER. They’re co-owners of the Bleachem Quick Beauty Salon. As we scan the crowd we notice that two of our more prominent members are missing. DAVID NINE is giving a concert in Carnegie Hall. He gained fame by playing his marimba with his toes while standing on his head. The hope of the Republican Party this year is Democrat Keith Stump. He is at a convention in Chicago where he is a candidate for the Republican-Democrat nomination for President. The two parties combined after a brilliant suggestion by Mr. Stump. Compliments of HARTSOCK MOTOR SALES CLASS PROPHECY The banquet has begun. We are enjoying our sumptuous meal. We note the delicious flavor of the rolls which were made by the town baker, GERALD KISER. People say they have that extra something.' All the ice for drinks and desserts was furnished by the SHEAR and VOLAND Ice Corporation of Alaska. The guest speakers for the evening are JOAN BENNETT and DAWN EBERLY. Joan's speech is titled, The Problems of Being Tall. Dawn's subject is The Arts of Staying Skinny. During the banquet we were served by an excellent staff. LARRY KEIM is head waiter with the help of JUDY GAERTE, DIXIE CUNGERMAN, NANCY STREBY, and MARILYNN MOCK. During the fabulous Mermaid Festival, which now lasts one month, these four are the official Homer Shoop Helpers. The curtain rises on the entertainment for the evening, featuring Elvis BOWLBY and his sidekick, Ouch Boone HEN WOOD. Their special number is entitled, You Ain't Nothin' but a Horsefly. Co-starring on the program with them is the GRIMES and HINESLEY trained Hippopotamus act. Commonly called the Hippoettes. They captured and trained them themselves in dark Africa. These hippoes can do everything from counting to sitting on your lap. Here comes the movie idol of every teenager, the great star, JAY LUNDY. He's noted for his modest nature. Accompanying him is his sister and newspaper columnist JANICE LUNDY now writing the Dear Abbie column in the Webster Tribune. Behind them surges a crowd of hysterical teenagers. Fighting her way through the crowd is the president of the Jay Lundy Fan Club, KATHY LOCKE. After an illustrious career as a genius Chemist, she retired by popular request to become the president of the fan club. Well, we see the guests are starting to leave, as another class of '58 reunion comes to a close. We are glad to see that everyone has prospered so well. CLASS FLOWER Red Rose CLASS MOTTO Not Finished; Just Begun CLASS COLORS Blue and White CLASS POEM Another class has finished Its course at Webster High, And now is entered elsewhere. In life’s great race, to try. Roy the racer, with Kiser behind. Were never safe on the road, Especially when Voland and Douglas Were also there with a load. The thirty-six Webster Seniors Are glad the diplomas are won. And now are out for bigger things As in this race they run. Joan and Peggy with Carter and Locke, Plus Jeannie, Jo and David too. Are headed for college in early fall. Hoping their talents there to pursue. The class had many officers To direct them through the years, However, Jay and Glen with Peg and Foxy Were this year’s moving gears. Nancy and Jeanette might beat them all To a home of their own, they hope. But Eloise says It's nursing for me. And bathing my patients with Camay soap. One word could not describe the members, For each was a different soul; I guess it takes them, one and all. To make a complete class roll. Dawn with her 'Wagon,' never ceases to go All over the country, so far and wide. Vivian with her famous shades of hair. Amazes the fellows who are at her side. Some were studious, some got by. Some were weak, and some were strong. Some were leaders, always will be. Some will always tag along. Marilyn Hinsely was uncertain you know About college or fellows and He She's waiting for one and a certain one. To answer her question, you see. Kathy and Bob were nip and tuck When grades were being taken, Joan and Peggy were close behind, Hoping the other might soon be shaken. Dave Nine was quite the drummer. And many honors he has won; Jeannie’ famous for her violin, She can make it talk to anyone. Sisters-in-law in the near future will be Barbara and Sandy, through marriage you see, Marilyn Mock had thought about wedlock, But very cautious and careful is she. Judy looks forward to the summer vacation, When Freddie is here for a stay, Peggy and Joan are so happy carefree. They enjoy every hour of the day. Don and Jay with Stump and Moe Were basketball boys, you know. With Woods as manager of the group, . Their record up was bound to go. An all-around girl was Kathy Locke, So interested in many things; Pleasant Jo Reiff, with usually a smile Was only slightly interested in diamond rings. Happy-go-lucky Foxy Spry, And serious minded good old Glen, Both added a spark in this year's class, That’s only done by men. Joining the class in their Junior year Were Dixie and Judy from Larwill way, But later still from Larwill came The Lundy pair, both Janice and Jay. Allan and Larry were always together. Cousins, of course, were they, And when it comes to doing things, Girls are a bother, the boys quickly say. Completing the class in the senior year. Were Donna and Harold, the final two. This was the group on Commencement nite, That strolled down the aisle in white and blue. Becky and Roberta, the inseparable two. Are planning 'Old Maids to Be' But it wouldn't take much 1 am quite sure To change their minds for a He. This completes the Senior class. Of each person name by name, And we wish to every member, Lots of luck, success and fame.
