SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY In the year of 1970, having made a success in our careers, we decided to take a trip to see if our classmates had done as well. We were driving along and we met with a small carnival. We thought if they had a fortune teller, it would save a lot of money. So we asked if she could tell us about our classmates, she said yes, so we looked into her crystal ball and saw that the first stop was Hollywood. We find Barbara Jamison serving as Elvis Presley's private secretary. Her main job is taking care of his hound dogs. We also see Dave Kuhn has made a good start by appearing in his first movie It's Tough To Be Short”. Larry Strombeck is also out there making thousands as Elvis's private barber. He makes most of his money by selling the hair after cutting it. We now switch to No. Webster which has grown immensely since the new restaurant came in. The owner is Fred Clark, his restaurant has made No. Webster famous. Down the street is a big hardware, owned and operated by Jim Teghtmeyer and sons. Jim bought the hardware from his retired father and expanded it. We find David Heath taking Tom Warner's place as auditor. Dave is running for governor next year. At No. Webster School Phil Tom has done a fine job of teaching agriculture, and still is. We learn he is going to stay at Webster despite the other jobs he has been offered. Jerry Smith teaches driver training at school, he is learning to drive along with his students. He gives out pamphlets which he wrote himself entitled Flow to Keep Your Car in Good Condition. No. Webster has a fine Girls' Athletic Class who owe all their talent to their instructor, Pat Butler. When asked how he liked his job he said, Ummmmmmmm Boy!! Some of the other classmates have settled there, too. Jim Hill is running the new Ice Plant. Jim is still a bachelor, but he will find him a cool one, someday. No. Webster has a fine Police Dept., with Bob Nelson as Chief. It is a peaceful town, once more. Keep it up, Bob!!!!! The rest of the classmates are fairly scattered. Ann Ritchie is in Calif, helping her wealthy and successful husband, Prof. Freeman. She is also asst, in his lab. Sharon Kurtz is located in Florida with her husband Joe Martin. They are building a new ranch home. Gene Clark is landscaping their property with his bulldozer. Gene is still single but someone will hook him someday. Watch!! Kay Koontz is a private secretary to one of Thornburg's big bosses. Who?? She has written a book in her spare time called, How to Reduce Your Hips . Judy Brown is running a Beauty Saloon in Dutchtown. She is also president of her own Lonely Hearts Club. She has helped many find love. We see by the Webster News that Bud Nobblitte has just won the 500 mile race in the Nobblitte 8, designed by him. Benny Black is sheriff of the county and the night watchman at Black's Trading Post, where he is the owner. We see Otto Engleberth is farming, rather his hired hands are. We all know he is the most ambitious person we know. Larry Rensberger is one of his hands, he works very hard (trying to talk Otto out of doing the work.) What about us????? Well, Patty Fuller is a nurse at a Veteran's Hospital, and Mary Freeman is making a career of housekeeping. Mary Freeman and Patty Fuller
