They hod four return- ing lettermen ond were dominoted by juniors. The Potriots were led by Adrionne Bornett who hod onother outstonding seoson with o best time of 20:22. She wos followed closely by Sondi Cook who hod on excellent first-yeor ond o best time of 20:37. Coptoin Moryonn Lontingo ron strongly behind the leoders, but wos in- jured eorly in the seoson. Holly Volentine ond Sue Schwortz worked hord oll seoson to breok the 24 min. mork. They both finol- ly did, running the home course in 22:50 ond 23:35, respectively.
