uumj w tlncryo ti' Dedication The 1978 Graduates, will be the first full-fledged class to graduate from North Warren Central School. The ma- jority of us came to N.W.C. as freshman, and well we remember that day. Each of us arrived, some from Brant Lake, some from Chestertown, and some from Pottersville, with his and her own determination, with chips on his shoulders; trying to prove his school the BEST, knowing the entire consolidation wouldn't work. But somehow, some way, sometime, it DID work. We came together, made friends, learned, and grew together as a unit. We are leaving with the realization that it has been good. We are good, and our school is good. We'd like to make this dedication, unusual as it may seem, to NORTH WARREN CENTRAL SCHOOL. We're making the dedication like this because, we are the first to complete four full years under our unified roof. We pledge to go forth and accomplish much to make YOU proud of US. There is much to be done, however, and the students, parents and teaching staff working together will make 3 stron8er educational body; a school to make our hearts proud that We are the graduating class of 1978 Our feelings are perhaps best expressed in the words of this quote. 'Ask not what North Warren can do for vou ask what You can do for North Warren Central School.' United We Stand! Occupational Education Occupational programs at the BOCES Center are concerned with the development of manipulative skills in regard to equipment and processes commonly used in industry and business. Industrial and business methods and procedures, the properties and behavior of materials and the principles of mechanics are studied. Occu- pational education is also concerned with the development of the individual as a person and a worker. Students gain experience through direct contact with business and industrial materials, tools and equipment. They perform tasks and develope procedures related to the world of work. They discover their own abilities and develope concepts that increase their understanding, desire and ability to work. A student discovers that through the development of interest in business or industrial principles, the student may contribute a worthy service to the community, as well as earn a good living or decide to continue study after high school. 42 Juniors 1st Row: F.
