I, MINDY, always one to lead the way, started with these priceless bequests; to Stevie Wonder, my tuba because it is not hard to play; to Veronica my piano in hopes she can keep up with 'Dude'; and the Yearbook to ANYONE foolish enough to take it. The SUE CONSIDINE took her turn and to Debby and Karen Carlozzi bequeather a free pizza at the Pizza Hut; to Billy, her ability to have car keys ripped off; and to Lil Shaw her secret of getting out of classes; to Mr. Bedell, her appetite; the job of chartkeeper to Carol M.; and her sisters . . .she leaves! Period! Apparently, this was the needed example, for everyone stepped up with their most priceless tid-bits as follows. BERNIE BOLTON felt Clod could use his good behavior of the BOCES bus, along with his ability to get along with the Bearded Won- der. Clod was often thought of for GARY BOLTON wishes him to have his ability to drive a car, and Mr. Duncan and Air Freshener for the 8th period study hall. ROXANNE BRALEY thinks Mr. B. would like 'Dear Agnes questions; that M. S. could utilize her ability to start and not finish physics' lab; her sister her locker to clean; and her drafty first period scat to anyone who likes to shiver all winter. CATHY CARLINO wanter more elbow room for Ron W.; 11 pound of herring and plenty of good times for George C.; reflections to 'P'; her 'great' abilities to those most deserving of them; and lastly; she leaves Bean behind. STEVE CARLSEN, with characteristic thoughtfulness, leaves his height to Marvin Clark. DAVID CARPENTER leaves his athletic ability to Andy (who need it); 5000 aquat- thrusts to Coach S; and boxing gloves to the soccer team for the next Germantown game. MARK CARPENTER leaves the drawings and poems on the study hall desks to the school newspaper to help increase circulation; and a large can of Lysol spray disenfectant and an emergency oxygen tank for the boys' room. KATHY CLARK wants Steph to have her ability of being ready for the bus; and to Mr. Willets, MARY CHASE leaves the luck of having student late to his tudy halls and classes; and noon hours at the Sub Shop doing those uncertain things to Cindy Kinnicutt. To Flash, FRANK DOWER leaves his Deep Purple collections and the windsprints and laps to Chuck. To Veronica Lan, LILLIAN DOWNS leaves her constant chatter; and MIKEFAGGIANO leaves Mrs. Searles to Ray Dower, a 600 run to Coach Schlaeg, and the school to Mr. Troisi. TERRY FRANCISCO said, I want Tess to have Bub ; Sherry the mirror in the girl's room; and to Mary Alice the noon hour, and more good times (along with Kathy E. ) after school activities. JIM GIBB was easy, he left his Big Left Foot to Stud, so he can play soccer. MIKE GIBSON leaves to John McClure his ability to drive an Artie Cat. To Mr. Searles, Miss Huck, and Colleen Ross, BONITA HAYES leaves a box of Aides; to Robin, her brainy ideas, and to Miss Aubin the empty chair she leaves which spells relief. KATHY HAYES to Bill Remington --a personalized first aid kit for 8th period, and to Dean Schaefer the sum of 15 t for extra ice cream. MARK KASSON left his first trombone spot in the band to Bill A.; and his muscles to Jeff P. (I guess he took his sense of humor with him.) LAURIE MONROE wants Effie Ham- mond to have her class skipping ability, and not getting caught, because Effie wants to and doesn't dare try; and all the funny memories from Business Law Class to Kathy Kowalsky. JOANNE MONROES said, (seriously), I leave to Nancy, George, Bill, Skip, and Bruce (as well as Yogi and Boo-Boo) all of the noon-hours and a panic award for 70 the 50 yard dash back to school; to Mr. Berwick the best of luck in whatever he does in the future; and to Mary Alice, the job of feeding ALA WISHES; and to Mime, all of the cigarette butts in the G. R. To Scott Houde, RAY- MOND HILDENBRAND leaves his No. 4 soccer shirt, in hopes that this will influence Scott to try out for the team. DEBBIE SMITH wants the Gym spot she has so ably filled to go to anyone who can survive it, and the Census to R. Searles and Mrs. McDowell so they may fight over it. RICHARD SMITH leaves his locker to Tammie, so she will remember him for the remainder of her years in North Warren; and to his cousin, Jim, his soccer shoes to enable him to score goals for the North Warren team next year because he is going to get tough enough to play on the Varsity squad. DAVID TROISI, with characteristic modesty, and I quote, leave my sopt on the tennis team to my little brother, since he is the only one good enough to follow me. I leave my soccer shoes to anyone who likes blisters, my sprained ankles to Greg Beckler, and my tennis shirt to anyone who can accept the responsibility of not losing it. WOW! BETH WALKER leaves her first period study hall seat to anybody, because anybody can put it to better use than she has; and her exemplary patience in Yearbook meetins to anyone, again, anyone couldn't need it more. SHARON WHIPPLE wants Tess M. to have her chorus seat, hoping she can find a way to cope with D.F., and she leaves NWCS her fond memories of the past and HOPES for the future. We should end on that beautiful thought, but a few Johnny-come-latelys came along -- GARY WILSON, to bestow his ability to drive Snowmobiles and a blue print of his Polaris upon Sponge , (who needs them both); and his BOCES seat to anybody with hip boots . . . MARY LOU VIELE leaves her favorite word to Bobbie and hopes she is never bold enough to say it to anyone; to Mr. Duncan, she leaves her gutter balls, aid her grouchy, mean moods to Mr. Ross. JENNIE VETTER popped in to leave her talent for writing ten page papers to anyone displaying an ability to disguise his ignorance in a plentitude of verbiage; and the farm and Burt to Linda P. GERALD MOREHOUSE wants Bill to have his C. B. and fog lights, and DANNIE MINER wants Jane Gamble to have her perfect attendance and ability for staying out of trouble. GRETA NEWTON couldn't leave without leaving to Sherry one-half of her brains, good looks and good humor, hoping that she will put it all to good use; and to Shell, she leaves the rest of her closet (altho she has half of it now). COL- LEEN PICCINI leaves to Carol McGowan a box of Dynamints and the English Class with Mr. Beddell; to Jamie Den- ton, her Gym class with Miss Huck and Locker 211 (with all the dirty clothes in it). DAN SMITH wants anyone to have his French Dictionary and his old homework assignments, and EDYTHE ROSSENER wants Lillian Shaw to go man-catching at Camp Saskatchewan, and she leaves to her sister, Darlene, her responsible job of hall monitoring. LARRY LA FOUNTAIN wants the Houde to have his parties; and elute to have his camero; MARINA LANE bequeaths to Mr. Berwick her comb, and to Kim M. and Helen C. a new set of hips. JOHN MAHONEY leaves his ability to play tennis to Dale Ryba, in hopes that someday he will become another Jimmy Conners. JAMES MACDONALD leaves Scott Houde the back seat of Bus 10 and all those uncouth pilgrims; and HOWARD MEADE want Mr. Bedell to have his brains. And so, as the end approaches, as it will to all graduating classes, we set our hand and seal on this document in all good fun, and some seriousness. Turner John Turner, a priest of the Roman Catholic Church, came to the North Country in 1973 to assist in the Religious Education Program. He came as a native of the city of Troy but a lover of the country, and he soon found himself comitted to our community and the possibility of real life here. He loved the lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams. He loved the woods and the mountains. Unlike many of us, he waited anxiously for the first snowfall. His love was contagious! One could not help but catch this ex citement and enthusiasm from him. He now rests back in the city of Troy; but his love for us, and the region we live in, will long strengthen and sustain us. Jack” was quiet, gentle, filled with peace, and dedicated to reconciliation—bringing men together. He has done much to bring us together, both by his life and his death. Father Jack Turner was a priest. As a priest, his life was spent in continually offering to God thanks and praise for His love for us; manifested in His creation of the world, His sending of His Son and His gift of life to each of us. For Father Jack , life was good; it was to be enjoyed; it was a mystery to be lived. In all these things he touched us, and we are grateful. I solemnly assure you, unless the grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat. But if it dies, it produces much fruit.
