Entering first grade one of the most exciting events in our lives! We were divided into two separate classes with Mrs Lewis and 'iss rantz as our advisers That ,ear we had our first activity a pet show an each of us entered dis pets, dolls and favorite toys Second grade found us with Mrs Kleinfelder as our adviser sdall always remember our Frida, afternoon ritual marcning around the room singing, 'lne Battle Hymn of the Republic , upon receiving a perfect spelling paper 'iss Cooley was our adviser in third grade, and one afternoon we gourneyed to the third floor to see the stuffed animals and the collect ion of snakes which inhabited large glass cases Fourth grade how proud we were to climb the high stairs to Mrs Brandt's homeroom! he also presented our first assembly program that year a Hallowe'en play written by the class itself our eventful summer vacation to the class It was the first year for membership in the Audubon Bird Club with meetings every Friday afternoon Sixth graders at last! Mrs Seveke was our homeroom teacner, and that year the girls inherited a jumping rope for recess and the boys soccer ball Onward to the high school! Seventh grade The important day finally arrived, and we found our selves walking in another direction to the high school at last! How ever, much to our dismay, we found we were the Hkindergartenu class Eighth grade The girls decided to make aprons in Home Economics this year and were 1ndeed thrilled to model them in the Fashion Show Ninth grade Our freshman year launched our social and also our acting careers we presented our first dance, the 'Snow Ball', and our first big assembly featuring a play, NStout hearted Freddieu Tenth grade This was the year our class pledged life membership in the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals The reason for this drastic step was the poor little frogs we dissected in biology class Rainbows End' marked our first attempt at presenting a big dance chestra and all It was a big success! Eleventh grade Three of the fellows definitely decided 'crime does not payn after getting the consequences for playing hookey Ve pre semted our farewell dance to the seniors by sponsoring the Junior-Senior Prom Twelfth grade Seniors at last! This high honor also brought us chemistrg which was a Hbang up'fa1lure for most of us.
