They sang at Home-School Night, the Christmas operetta, Home Tal- ent Night, Librarians' Meethgg Baccalaureate services, and Commencement. The Girls' Glee Club and a boys' octet entered the Forensic League Contest this year for the first time. Although there was no compe- tition in the girls' division, they received a high rating from the judges. The boys have high hopes of winning a prize next year. I 24

SPELLING TEAM The Spelling Team, trained by Miss M ers and captained by Raymond Fager, participated in the Peirce School Spelling Contest. Ray- mond Fager and Mabel Stong qualified for the individual spelling contest. The team de- feated Hatfield in an invitation contest, and they competed with Bridgeport in a radio contest. LIBRARY SQUAD The Library Squad has done the school a great service in its first year.
