CLASS FLOWER red rose “I Sing the Body Electric.” CLASS COLORS light blue and dark blue CLASS OF 1984 The class of 1984 had a fun and excit- ing year. We began with a money mak- ing project that involved the QFM 96ers taking on the Faculty. Later in the year we sponsored a dance that was labeled a huge success. The senior class enjoyed several class activities. We attended the 1984 Kings Island grad night and we had a very enjoyable senior breakfast. Our Senior breakfast was held at Western Sizzlin Steak House where we were enter- tained by a senior slide show as well as senior Personality awards. We finished our high school career with a very memorable graduation ceremony. The senior class would like to thank the class of 85 for a job well done on the 1984 Jr.-Sr. Prom “Fantasy Island.” Class Advisor — Mrs. Livingston, President — B. Jackson, Sec Treas. L. EXCHANGE STUDENTS Fabiola Serrano My name is Fabiola Serrano. I am 18 years old, I have one sister and two brothers in Columbia. Bu- caragmanga, my home city, is very different in size and customs than Richwood. I have enjoyed my stay because I have met many nice people and found many friends. I would like to express my gratefulness to all the people who have made me feel welcome in the U.S.A. especially to the students and teachers at North Union High School. I enjoyed my participation in student council and softball team. My greatest experience was being manager of the softball team and being part of a winning team. I have always wanted to come to the U.S.A. and now that I have lived in Richwood I can say “America is Beautiful.” Ana Maria de Carvallo Viera My name is Ana Maria de Carvallo Vieira and I am from Brazil. I came here just for six months but the experiences that I had were so good and so impor- tant to my life that I will never forget anything or anyone of you. I want to thank you a lot for every- thing. I hope you can write to me in Brazil so we can always keep in touch. Sports 1984 saw continued improvement for the Wildcat football team, the four victories were the most recorded by a North Union squad since 1975. The highlight of the season had to be a dramatic come- from-behind victory over Marysville. The Cats, behind 21-6 at halftime, roared back to score in the last seconds and a two point PAT gave them the victory, spoiling the Monarch’s homecoming. The season was characterized by many close games but had a spectacular ending when the Wildcats routed CBL foe Jonathan Alder by a score of 52-0. I Way To Go Wildcats FRESHMAN FOOTBALL (Row 1) T. Charlie Roberts, batting well over .400 for the season, was named MVP. Rich Kelly, a senior fireballer, led the pitching staff with 8 victories. The highlight of the year was a 20-6 thrashing of Columbus Academy on the Vikings home turf. CLOSE DECISIONS HURT JV’S “Close encounters of the frustrating kind” could aptly describe the fortunes of the ’83 Wild- cat baseball reserves. Six times the Cats lost by just one run and one other game was lost in extra innings. However, to indicate that all was not bad, the Cats swept a doubleheader from Marysville by scores of 3-2 and 14-3.
