The spirited seniors won by a landslide, in the chain contest, but the juniors won the float prize. All the classes did well. Friday evening a little rain could not dampen the Wildcat spirit. The parade started uptown and brought the fans to the high school field. At the pre-game ceremonies it was an- nounced that Ronda Wilds was our 1978 Homecoming queen. She was crowned by last year’s queen, Diane Atherton. Ron- da’s attendants were Peggy Kirk and Rita Parrott, seniors; Laura Gray, junior; Ruthie Roberts, sophomore and Julia Robinson, freshman. In the last quarter of a hard-fought game, Bexley scored 3 pts. The game was a good defensive effort. The band performed at half-time to the tune of “Night Fever” with a disco step. The dance Saturday night featured the band “Sizzler” and elaborate disco lights set with much participation. The dance nicely culminated a hectic spirit-filled and fun week. 31 32 m Webb Roush ' W}- • E Ws'. 1 Webb Roush McCuc Xanders ] | Coulter Pcrkins Webb Roush McMahon Pfeifcr | Webb Roush Hoffman Robcrts ivicranaiiu vs i unj I Slout Stidman Westbrook Payne Westbrook Paync 1 Karchcr Erwin Studer Gilbert Studer Gilbert 1 Studer Gilbert Webb Roush jf ' % w 33 Musical — Superman Superman . The cats came back to win a resounding victory over Ml. Gilead 26-14! The cats then traveled over to Buckeye Valley leaving them speechless and cleatless with a 26-0 shut out. Injuries to some of the wildcats prevailed for 3 games. If injuries hadn't prevailed over the cats, the season would have been more successful, but we are proud of the cats for their outstanding efforts during the season. Special recognition to Mr. Wallace for a great coaching job. Improvement was also achieved this season. Two cats made Central District. Chuck Stinemetz and Russell Marvin make all-District. Four of the cats made all- County: Chuck Stinemetz, Russell Marvin, Brent Chapman, John Rayl. John Rayl was awarded his hel- met for receiving the most cat claws of the season.
