AD MIN I Mr. R. D. Fetter, Superintendent The Class of 1969 should be proud to be the first to graduate from the new North Union High School building. While other classes will have the advantage of the new facilities for a longer time, they will find it difficult to top the achievements of this first graduating class. Members of the Class of 1969 have excelled in every phase of school activity and the entire school community is very proud of their accomplishments. However, records are made to be broken and each achievement of this class can be topped if the students who follow have the will to leave their mark by adding to the tradition of excellence that has been set by the first graduating class. Schoo Marvin Hall, Max Robinson, Lowell Harris, Maynard Me At a time when some young people in our country are finding it difficult to make a positive contribution to society, or even to conform to the established patterns of behavior, we trust the stu- dent of North Union High School will continue to recognize and accept their responsibilities to God, to country, to their neighbors, and to themselves. May your future hold every desire for which you are honestly willing to work. 8

'RATION e. : wneth Foos, Jerry Anderson, ud Quality in education is not a happenstance, sometime thing. It must be built consciously, carefully, cooperatively, and purpose- fully by students, the public, and the professional staff. It requires diligence and earnest work toward rewards that sometimes seem far away; it requires investment in the future without hope of personal gain; it requires dedication not called for in a contract or always reflected in a salary schedule; it requires devotion to a common purpose. The emergence of North Union High School as a single entity is a major step toward making excellence possible. The leadership extent in the Class of 1969 has contributed mate- rially toward promoting in North Union High School the quest for quality. Mr. W. D. Cochran
