Business Manager Mr. Terry Kristoff Advisor With admiration and deep appreciation the Class of 1968, proudly dedicates this 1968 Cat Tales to Mr. Frank Zir- bel. Next year, old halls will make way for new when North Union High School moves from the old building to the new one on the outskirts of Richwood. Old faces will follow, however, in the form of teach- ers and students, most especially the Class of 1969 who will be the first to graduate from the new building, just as the Class of 1968 is the last to graduate from the old one. For every graduate of North Union or Richwood High School, there are memories, good and bad, locked in these old halls. In time, the halls of the new school will become filled with other memories, portions from other lives. May the greater number be happy ones. Mr. R. D. Fetter, Superintendent SCHOOL BOARD. Various projects throughout the year included a bake sale in December; the annual Holiday Dance, featuring Destiny’s Children; concessions at all of the home basketball games; and a pecan sale. Also, hard work has been put into athletics and scholarship. We have finally achieved our long term goal, to become Seniors. Tracy Drake — Student Council, Julie Rayl — Secretary-Treasurer, Tim Hamilton — President, Rex Cramer — Vice-President Sophomore Class Officers The spirited, un-tamed, ever-willing Sophomores came to this building with the first thoughts of “real” high school. We searched for the unknown and looked forward to the day when we, as a whole, would be able to discover some of these areas and develop them. The year progressed, as did the Sophomores. We entered fields and achieved various goals in edu- cation and athletics. We Sophomores sold candy for our class project and boosted our treasury through the willingness of each student. Most of all, though, with all the activities we participated in, we gained respect for our upperclass- men. We look forward to next year in our new building and a chance to be considered upperclassmen. Along with ability there must be desire, determination, perseverance, discipline, and no little amount of “sweat and tears.” The 1967 Wildcats, as Champions, bear the label of being a success. This then, not only for their win-loss record, but because they possessed and displayed all the attributes that in the end spell success. Nourish these abilities, and in years to come they will stand you in good stead many times. It certainly has been a tremendous experience to have been a part of the 1967 Wildcats.
