CLASS PIHIPHECY The great swami, Azi Hozodo, gazes into his crystal ball and, as he passes his hand quickly about it, we hear him say- '6As the clouds break, I see the festive preparations for the maiden voyage of the ship, the U.S.S. North Star. In the crowd I see many personalities of 1960. uFirst of all, I see our first lady president of the United States, Julie Buzzelli, pres- ent forthe ceremonies. She is surrounded by Secretary of State Aldo Santorri, gov- ernment secretary Donna Sobocinski, and Secretary of Navy Bruce Henninger. Ap- pearing in their gold braid, I see Ray Malone, John Evans, Ray Forton and Gerald Goodwin representing the navy in the capacity of admirals. HA very famous stream of passengers is waiting to board the ship to sail for Eu- rope. Prominent among these is the celebrated Olympic Team consisting of Pauline Schulmeister, Jeanne Wherry, Rosemary Pinkowski, Cele Camarre, Ruth Schimshack, Joan Green, Doris Forkey, Norma Schweickhard, James Beutel, Roger Colton, Dennis Dempster, Dave Comstock and John Whipple. 1 y '4The famed biologist, Jean Canaday, who discovered a cure for lovesickness, is arriving with the noted historian, Theron Fisher, and the renowned missionary work- er, Marilyn Schulz. Also making their appearance are the authors of the latest best sellers. Some of these are Allan Leverentz, Leonard Korczykowski, Patricia Cooper, Rita Wilbur and Peggy Unferdross. Alan Beeman, Conal Martin, Pauline Yankovich, Leah Schultz, Ann Risuis, Ed Stevener and Arline Mislin are going abroad to con- tinue their intellectual studies. Teachers never get a rest. The last of the passengers are arriving now. There are the retired industrialists, Buck Schmidt and Dick Still- Well, with the international dairy man, Dennis Goerss. uThe gang plank is lowered and Julie Buzzelli cuts the satin ribbon across the gang plank with golden shears. As the passengers go aboard, the band of James Bingert strikes up and plays a lively tune. The members of his famed orchestra are Eugene Pietak, Ruth Schively, and many othersfiwho, ten years ago, made the N.T.H.S. hand one of the best. Among the entertainers are Janet Schnell, William Lubs, Dorothy Mulligan, Twilva Broecker, Virginia Cox, Jackie Andrees and Margaret Foley. Wait, there seems to he a commotion on board. .Why, they have a stowaway, and it's none other than Jim Hurtubise, Esqf' in 24.
