SALMON Due to the size of our student body we do not have a sufficient number of boys who want to play football to field a team that could compare favorably with other junior high school teams in our district. However, any boy who wishes to play football may do so. Students schedules are so arranged that a boy can join and play with a combined football team, composed of boys from North Texas Laboratory School and the Denton Junior High School. Qetivitse s Mr. and Mrs. Hollis have given freely of their time in sponsoring school parties and taking complete charge of music for our dances. Mr. Hollis teaches shop courses and is in charge of textbooks for our school. MRS. MARGIE HOLLIS What more coveted compliment could be given one than to say, She is a real teacher.? This conclusion is reached only after one has been judged by many stand- ards and has been tried and proved. Mrs. Margie Hollis is just such a teacher. We are so happy and fortunate that Mrs. Hollis came our way. She is truly a devoted teacher who has given these many years of her life to helping others. The lives of many hundreds of boys and girls, as well as fellow teachers, have been made fuller and richer through association and work with her. Her teaching and influence have been given chiefly through the medium of music; however, her efforts are just as effective through other areas. Her constant and prime concern is the welfare and proper growth and development of the individual child. She is always ready and anxious to lend a sympathetic and understanding ear to a child and his problems. It is to Mrs. Margie Hollis, a devoted teacher, and a true friend to students and fellow teachers alike, that we dedicate this 1960 LION'S ROAR.
