During the summer the coke machine was a very popular place. Mrs. Carter and the lunchroom staff served candy and sandwiches in the cafeteria. It takes even summer work on the part of the staff to put out a good yearbook. Yes, . . . you're typical teens . . . go steady . . . about 2 months . . . dress up . . . heels for her . . . tie for him . . . you learn how to drive . . . rely on the family bus . . . you snack . . . watch TV, listen to the radio while doing homework. Your daily schedule is a familiar pattern of junior high school life . . . get up at 7:30 . . maybe 8:00 . . . sometimes you oversleep . . . go at breakneck speed to the cafeteria for lunch . . . drink cokes . . . you enjoy school but hate to admit it . . . study a little ... 3 hours a night . . . well . . . maybe a week . . . average A .. . no...a B ... you make the grade . . . and you're satisfied because you're a teenager. And so since you have all these qualities, be they good or be they bad, ludicrous, pathetic, or otherwise, we dedicate this 59 LION'S ROAR to you, the students of NORTH TEXAS JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
