T e i e o oo e 1 NORTH TEXAS DEMONSTRATION HIGH SCHOOL DENTON, TEXAS oremord We call ourselves the Lions; We'd like to roar and bite, But somehow we have got ourselves By other titles hight. Sometimes we're known as Demos That one's not hard to swallow But when they've called us Model cks, We've been inclined to halloo. This year we've looked into the facts Behind this appellation, And now we proudly claim the nante; It glorifies onr station! Hear us Lions bravely roar, To be a duck is not a bore, In fact, we like it. Give us more . oo31S Dedication When ducks fly high, high overhead, Unerring, sure, intrepid V, The upward gaze is fixed in awe On him who forms the echelon's key. He knows the way; the flight is charted. He's guided by concern for every least companion in the flight; By wisdom of the leaders who have gone this way before. He's guided by his sense of justice, love of right, And by reliance on the Source of grace and power. Such a leader meets the searching look Of those who gaze upon OUR progress sure. To Joe L. Burks we dedicate this book In gratitude and love that will endure. Demonstration School Facull The drakes and ducks who lead this flock Are of the finest pure-bred stock. They teach us young ones all the things we learn. From them we took this quackin, talk hat's where we get this waddling I walk: Their approval's what we strive to edarn. Dr. Harrell E.
