VARSITY FOOTBALL The Horsemen opened their season by losing a badly played game against the Hastings Yellow- iackets on September 24. Avenging their loss of the week before, the Horsemen went on to defeat a su- perior Middletown team in a closely fought duel. However, N.T. proved no match for the mighty Ossin- ing team as they fell to a crushing defeat for the first time in six years. After defeating Peekskill, Edison Tech, Saunders Trade, and Bronxville, the game in which Co-captain Fran Galgano scored six touch- downs, the Horsemen completed their season by de- feating their arch rival, Washington Irving by a score of 20-0. This game climaxed the end qf a great season for N.T. and its coach, Bill Whitton. - FRED KNIERIEM. JUNIOR VARSITY FOOTBALL The North Tarrytown Junior Varsity Football team brought N.T. the first undefeated season in its history. After winning two assured victories against ChiIdren's Village and Hastings, they played an undefeated Ossining Junior Varsity to a scoreless tie, They also beat Rye and Peekskill and ended the season by trouncing W.I. by a score of 20-O. - FRED KNIERIEM.
