HISTCRY best yet. Again under the direction ol Michael Lazor, we got off to a good start. Dominick Cabriele, Iva Mary Moore, and Iohn Maffucci assisted the captain in this difficult task. NOVEMBER, 1947 The Iuniors got otf to a flying start at the N. T.- W. I. football game where they sold hot dogs. soda, and apples to the many rooters. FEBRUARY, 1948 This busy leap year year encouraged the girls as much as possible by having a leap year dance on February 28. This dance was perhaps the big- gest hit of any of the dances sponsored by the Clas of '49. One and all turned out for this gala occasion. MAY, 1948 The time has come tor which many of us have been waiting all through high school-our chance to give a prom. The gym has been decorated in delicate pastel shades and it is truly a lovely sight to see the girls in their lovely evening gowns R Y, x, R , N- fX xx. 5 and the boys stepping out in tux, etc. lMary Biros was crowned queen of our prom.l SEPTEMBER, 1948 At least we are seniors! After a grand and glorious vacation we are back full of vim, vigor and vitality for the last and greatest year of our high school course. Everybody is on board and ready. Michael Lazor is elected for a fourth con- secutive term. On the slate with him are Edward Croke, Nancy Scribano, and Livia Rocchi. Mr. Orloff Story and Mr. Lawrence W. Hynes, two weathered seamen, help pilot our boat this year. According to the true tradition of the sea, we must welcome in the Freshmen. Although we cannot have an initiation, we will give them a frolic which they will never forget. IUNE, 1949 Our senior ball has come and graduation, too. We have arrived at our destination, but we are missing one dear member of our crew. We are now departing on our second and much longer separate voyages and regret that we must say ship, ahoy to dear old N. T. H. S. K 1 A J ANN TAYLOR and MARION SKIBA 1. , .
