STUDENT COUNCIL ACTIVITIES During the first part of the school year, our Student Coun- cil has been very active. Among our many activities was a calendar sale to support our foreign student fund for the coming year. Like every past year, we did very well. Next Came the Red Cross Campaign, which was a contest among the homerooms to see which one could collect the most money. Homeroom 207 was the winner. Another big money-making project was the annual candy sale at Christmas time. We sold homemade peanut brittle, ribbon candy, and hard candy. This was the best ever! In the future, we are planning to conduct a poll for the student body to decide what country their foreign student will come from next year, and where she will reside during her stay. Throughout the school year Student Council has held dances on Friday nights and during the basketball season has alternated them with the Athletic Association. Our goal is to keep our school standards at the very highest! STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS First row: M. Aicher, Recording Secretary, D. Littleboy, President. Second row: T. McMiIlen, Treasurer. Third row: M. La Rochelle, First Vice President, L. Alletzhauser Second Vice President, S. Clement, Third Vice President, M. Grover, Corresponding Secretary. iso ee.
