Larson, First Vice President, C. .Darminio, Recording Secretary. For many years the Student Council has been the backbone of our school and this year was no exception. One of their most important activi- ties was the sponsorship of our foreign stu- dents. Along wtih Mr. Goessling and Mr. Buske, the representatives of the Council have conducted an annual Christmas candy sale and dances to raise money for their worthy project. CO-EDITORS Seated, Jean Arcidino Standing: Carolyn Peck Scribbler, the school newspaper for North Syracuse High School, appears each month. It features all school events including honor rolls, special honors to individual students, a little humor, 'dramatics, sports, and club activities. Those who publish the paper are re- porters, business managers, typists and mimeograph operators under the sponsor- ship of Mrs. Hughes. In coniunction with it is the Scribbler Club. Members of the club run the sales to help financially, make posters, and help in putting the paper together. There are many other activities including trips to com- mercial papers, to the Board of Education meetings, and a spring picnic. The purposes ot the paper are many: l-To serve our school by bringing us all closer together, 2-To perfect the skills ol the worker, 3-To train in meeting dead- lines, 4-To learn how to make sales, 5-To learn advertising techniques, 6-To give re- portorial training, 7-To sharpen interest in news getting, 8-To add to the ability of people to get along well together while doing a community iob.

Presented as round table topics, the members discuss the problems which arise in a teenagers' life and try-to find probable solutions to these problems. I I6
