Mr. Howard Marsh, ot Hastings-on-the-Hudson, was guest conductor. These students were chosen as outstanding musicians from North Syracuse. Alter an average of six hours of rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, and a dance Friday evening, the weekend was clim- oxed in a concert by the All-State Chorus, Orchestra. and Band. CHOIR Row lr J. The Music Appreciation Club has been organized for six years. The purpose of this group is to appreciate and understand music. During the club meetings, members give reports on famous composers and conductors such as Matavani and Kostelanetz. The meetings are further highlighted by the playing of classical records. GLEE CLUB Row 1: J. Gaffey, Miss Ransom, advisor, J. lapham. Row 2: C. Obergfell, J. Gurzny, P. Crook, M. Tornatore, l. Orr. The main purpose of this club, which was formed three years ago at North Syracuse, is hearing and singing good music. The members have given concerts, sung at assemblies, county festivals, state contests, and have performed at community affairs, as well as having attended many conferences. All County and State Sectionals are chosen from this group. 117
