Let all men venture hard work, humility, honesty, clean living, and high thinking . ., Guidance in personal and vocational problems is one of the ways Mr. Surratt helps his students. DeJicaf ion Here is a man who has a high moral standard, and lives by it; who has a great faith in young people, and exhibits it; who has a belief that study will make him a better teacher, and practices it. Through such men our school, and indeed the world, becomes better. To us, Mr. Surratt is more than a teacher. He is never too busy to listen to our troubles and to give us his help. His interest in us, our plans and ambitions, strengthens our own feeling of accomplishment. He is a friend in every sense of the word. On our report card, Mr. Surratt rates an A-Plus as a teacher, counselor, and friend. It is with deep affection and gratitude for his friendship and his faith in us, that we dedicate this yearbook, the 1962 edition of NORTH STAR, to 1 Carlos P. Surrall End of a perfect-ly full day! He has never had enough sleep—and never will! Many hours of work and pleasure go into keeping statistics for the football team.
