STATE WINNERS CHAPTER LIVESTOCK EXHIBIT OGDEN LIVESTOCK SHOW An educational ond leisure trip was taken to Yellowstone Park. The Fath- ers' and Sons' Banquet and party was a success. Contests to see who could exterminate the most rodents were con- ducted. Scholarships have been received by the members of the depart- ment. The 5 I OO one this year from the Union Pacific going to Donald Ander- ton, and Dell Taylor for the previous year. Both boys are going to the U. S. A. C. next year. Public speaking contests have been entered by the boys. Exhibiting in the Ogden Livestock Show, Intermountain Junior Fat Stock Show, Utah State Junior Livestock Show has been done. ' During the past year, the Future F a r m e r department h a s sponsored many activities which broaden the stu- mony others. Beautification of home beautification, animal breeding and many others. Beautification of home and school grounds has been the major prog'ram. Exhibits at the Summit County Fair and also the State Foir proved very successful. Cooperating in the purchase of breeding swine and dairy calves has been done. AGPillIllLTllPiE lJEl'Al'iTMENT YEL LOWSTONE TRIP The most colorful activity was the Annual Harvest Ball, during wh ic h Jean Moore was elected and crowned queen to reign over the festivities. Each yeor the Bank at Coalville has the out- standing boy's picture on the calendar. In all, the F. F. A. group organizes its program to give breadth of experience as well os a certain degree of special- ization. It does this because it has its ideal: Learning to do Doing to earn Earning to live Living to serve
