Anja Leerink Age: 17 Where did you come from? The Netherlands. Why did you come? | wanted to do something totally different after I had finished school. I wanted to go to another country for a year to learn about it’s culture and it’s different way of life, and that’s why I choose to come to America. What do you like the best? American people are very open, and that’s what I like very much. I’ve people start talk- ing to me, people I don’t know, and I like that. People don’t do that in Holland, they have to know people before they talk to them. What do you like the least? The junk food, and the long distance be- tween everything: home, school, friends and stores, and because I’m not allowed to drive it’s hard to go somewhere.
