Redskins Spirit Lives Forever The North Side Redskin: that symbol of pride, freedom and spirit. There is nothing like a Redskin and his spirit, it can not be matched. It is a special spirit that is full of today, but still flavored with tradition. After all, when wasn ' t there a band or a school paper or year- book? Most importantly, when were there no teams competing in sports? From the very beginning the Redskins have cheered on football and basketball teams, not to mention all the others. Some traditions have come a little more recently. Chief Mac is only some twenty years old and the Powder Puff wasn ' t always around either. Today we do some things like any other school. Spirit week, pep sessions, posters and cheers are not to be ig- nored by any school, but it is the Red- skin tradition that gives us our own spe- cial style. Ralph Eloph works hard mopping the hall floors. Laura Greub wonders where her marching band uniform has disappeared.
