While hurrying to civics class, Tom Hawk frantically searches for the answer to the assigned question, What is the function of the Federal Trade Commission? By testing the hearing of sophomore students, Mr. Buschor detects any auditory problem which the student may have, ihus enabling the faculty to know of study and classroom handicaps. reading a book or doing more serious studying, the library provides an adequate supply of reading material.

While helping her sister. Judy, study for a French test. Sherry Moore tells her how to conjugate a difficult verb. While discussing it on the phone. Ellen Schaper and a fellow algebra 3 student find the answer to an assigned problem. Redskins Have Varied Study Habits Redskins study earnestly to learn more about the world in which they live. Lamp lights burn late while Dome- landers follow Odysseus ' s travels and cram for final exams. It is not uncommon to see pupils polishing off that last math problem while frantically hurrying to class. Most Redskins are assigned a seat in the study hall or cafeteria where they may study during the school day. North is fortunate in having a library where pupils may go to do research work. During the warmer months, many North Siders finish their homework over a coke at Johnny ' s or under the shade of a tree along the bank of the St. Joe. This year an honor study hall was in- itiated in which selected upperclass- men were given the privilege of study- ing in the cafeteria without faculty supervision. Instead of going to study hall, many students seek the quiet atmosphere of the library in which to study. Whether leisurely 10

Pictured above is one of the coolest beatnik flings which was held at Pat Mullin ' s pad. Roy Strohl and Whit Sidener with bongoes and flute add to the atmosphere set by Jerry Warsaw ' s poetry readings. Redskins Keep Up To Date On Latest Fads Boots, loafers, oxfords, and the all favorite tennis shoes, are displayed by these fashionable Redskins. The drawstring iype boot and deser t boot proved to be the height of fashion. Throughout the year at Domeland, new fads were started and old ones preserved. Slumber parties remained popular, and the beatnik parties be- came the craze. Redskins enjoyed eat- ing pizza and attending open houses. Pleated skirts and bolero jackets top- ped the list of fall fashions for the gals, where as slit neck sweaters and con- tinental slacks rated high with the fellas. Gaily colored wool socks and pointed toed desert boots walked along- side the oh so comfortable tennis shoes. With the coming of winter, Redskins buttoned up in trench coats and pulled on danskins to keep warm in the cold weather. As warmer weather arrived, spring fever struck again in Redskin hearts, and couples revived the custom of exchanging rings, signifying going steady. 12
