This club is open to any qirl who wishes to join and it provides many activities for the members. The yearly proqram of activities in- cludes Y-Teen conferences, an after-game dance, the Mother-Daughter Senior farewell, the annual banquet and the Faculty Tea. Officers for the first semester were Stephana Houk, presidentg Mary Huth, vice presidentg and Kay Reqedanz, secretary-treasurer. Red Cross is an important service club to the community as Well as a link between the school and the American Red Cross. ln the event oi a disaster l.R.C. stands ready with the local chapter to give whatever aid is needed. The club also participates in various activities such as Wrapping presents for aged women at the Rest Home ior Women and making joke books and writing portfolios ior patients in the Veterans Hospital. Through such activities as these. the lr. To create, maintain, and extend high standards of Christian character throughout the school and community, is the Hi-Y pledge. The club is a high school branch ot the Young Men's Christian Association, and is affiliated with the state and national Hi-Y. The club participates in an annual city wide drive to collect money to con- tribute to the World Service Drive. The club also carries on other drives to raise money for Hi-Y projects.
