Programs Help Prospective Teachers Plan Future F.T.A. was organized to cultivate the tundaf mental qualities in teaching tor students inter- ested in educational work. The organization, under the direction ot Mrs. Mary Ann Chap- man, also tries to help undecided students pick their vocations by planning their programs with speakers, panel discussions, and visits to col- leges. Members also substitute as student teachers when the regular instructor is unable to attend his class. Officers elected tor the first semester were as follows: Nancy Cambridge, presidentg lane Glock, vice presidentg Harriet Ruchman, secretaryp and Roy Butzier, treasurer. Red Cross is an important service club to the community as Well as a link between the school and the American Red Cross. ln the event oi a disaster l.R.C. stands ready with the local chapter to give whatever aid is needed. The club also participates in various activities such as Wrapping presents for aged women at the Rest Home ior Women and making joke books and writing portfolios ior patients in the Veterans Hospital. Through such activities as these. the lr.
