Trophies and awards earned are also presented at this affair. The girls chosen to lead the club this year were: Iudy Winkler, President: Sharon Pletter, Vice Presidentg Mary Nash, Secretaryy Alice Sheak, Treas- urerg Nilah Castator, Iunior Repre- sentative, and Carole Peters, Sophos more Representative. A new point system was introduced this year, it is now on a trial basis for the com- pletion of this semester. The girls had a choice of changing to the proposed system or remaining on the State sys- tem. The idea of changing the system is to enable more girls to get their letters before they graduate. Is of Interest to Many The Girls Athletic Association, better known as G.A.A. offers a wide variety of activity for girls. They uphold the ideals of sportsmanship, loyalty, and health. The club is guided by Miss Margaret Spiegel and Miss Ruth Carroll. Some activities offered are archery, badminton, bowling, basketball, and swimming. The basketball tourney this year was won by the team labeled Nash, lnc. Softball, tennis, and volley- ball were also offered. Besides offering sports, many social activities are included in their agenda. Formal initiation, potluck, freshman party, an after game dance, and the spring banquet keep the social affairs rolling.
