Intramural Provides Competition For Boys North Sides intramural athletic program, under the guidance ot Mr. Robert Cowan, boasted anf other successtul basketball campaign this year. Twenty-three teams participated in this years action, with nine ot these in lightweight division. Two leagues were active in the heavyweight loop, with the teams ot each league meeting to deter- mine the winner. The North Royals and Short Straws were winners ot the light and heavyweight divisions respectively. The sportsmanship trophy, presented by the Northerner sports department, was awarded to Dean Zirlcle. Those boys who received honorable mention and awarded medals were Dave Solomon, Arnold Miller, Dave Coolc, and Larry White. One ot the most popular courses in the physical education program is swimming. Working on diving form are, on edge ot pool, Dale Fullcerson, Kirk Carrington, Robert Bolman, and Don Weber.
