By giving continuity to the teaching of the course, which had changed teachers too often, she greatly strengthened this important subject in our curriculum. Her up- rightness, earnestness, force of personality, and deep faith in the Book that she was teaching left a lasting impression on her students. Students will long remember her daily Scrip- ture readings, always followed by a prayer based on the reading. Mrs. Garrett was the mother of two out- standing North Side students—Mary Elizabeth, class of 1930, and Jenkins, class of 1931. Miss Dorothy Gray Mrs. Ina Davies nn mk Editor’s Message u u u u u u u u u u u u Another year has come and gone, and your ride down Memory Trail through the pages of this, your Lasso, is well-nigh complete. We have attempted to lasso for you some of the fun, the spirit, and the tradition that is North Side. Your big moments may not have been just the ones that are pictured here; but certainly this trail will bring to mind many of those memories that you hold dear. Whether you are taking your last ride across the range or can still feel the branding iron on your forehead, the trail of the past has many sign posts that will cause you, and you alone, to break into peals of un- controllable laughter or merely sit and gaze dreamily into space. When the years have flown, and you remember the clatter and bustle of the halls, and the quieter moments of the Christmas program, may the strains of our alma mater drift back to keep the spirit of North Side burning brightly in your heart. Oh. I never shall forget you, Dear old school upon the hill; Fondest memories linger ever. Bless me now and always will. When my student days are through, I shall still be praising you And the days I spent at North Side on the hill. a lO p A xoa ' c -- xP ft AA ‘Cl- C- •r. e. ,}o.A onAAA1
