senior leroy hill screams commands at fish barbara berry, but she just laughs It off. the tradition of fish day is as old as norm siae irsc» wiren »«■ year the seniors take time out from their work to acquaint the fish with this tradition. the day dawns with the underclass preparing themselves in rags, hose, shortskirts and what have you. amidst the teasing and heckling they manage to reach the “ole school on the hill” by buses, cars and even a few walk. of course these mean seniors must have some sort of refreshment and it just so happens the “fishes” bring gum, candy and even a few smart ones close up the seniors with a few tricks, but of course the hand of the law, our sheriff, seize the wise ones, the most common drill put to use is “air raid,” where the lowly ones hit the deck. comes lunch and if the fish are lucky enough to have an appetite they scramble under the tables and prepare to eat as well as be kicked, the climax is feeding the seniors their well deserved lunch. the grand finale commences when the little ones are marched into the auditorium where they must sit in the aisle until recovering the “north side spirit brand.” as the ceremonies pass the freshmen feel they become a part of the school and employ the name of sophomores to be a part of north side from then on. hit the dust podnor, jamle's mowing 'em down.
