Mary Lou Jadwin Principal Michael J. Anthony Superintendent-Director Administration CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1973: As you graduate from high school and enter the working world, it is vital that you realize the importance and need of continued growth. I sincerely hope that the following words, which express this senti- ment well, will encourage you to develop this most desirable and heal- thy attitude: “‘We are put here to grow, and we ought to grow, and to use all means of growth according to the laws of our being. The only real satisfac- tion there is, is to be growing up inwardly all the time, becoming more just, true, generous, simple, manly, womanly, kind, active. And this can we all do, by doing each day the days work as well as we can.” Congratulations to you for your accomplishments over the past three years. These successes, taken together, signify your mastery of skills needed to succeed in your chosen field of endeavor. Student life in a vocational school is seldom easy, being best typi- fied by continous hard work. However, your personal will to suc- ceed, coupled with the valued traits of perseverance and maturity en- able you to learn your trade and to become a true craftsman. Along with mastering these trade skills, you also learn to respect the rights of others and gained understanding of your own responsibilities as a citizen. I am confident that you will share these talents with others over the years, helping to create a better future for all mankind. It has been a privilege to work with you during the past few years. I thank you for the opportunity to do so.
