In the lst Jamboree for lst year football players, North High thoroughly beat Salinas and Alisal FroshfSoph teams. In regular games, the young Vikings proceeded by shutting out Soquel with a score of 21-0. They continued their winning ways by pummeling Santa Cruz 42-12. The Norsemen were too much to handle as they beat Aptos by 21 points and San Lorenzo Valley by 12 points. They suffered a setback, losing 12-0 to the Salinas Cowboys, but held their title by victory over the Alisal Trojans. The Freshmen headed south to face a very tough Gonzales team where they suffered their second and final setback of the season. From Gonzales, North High headed toward Monterey where they bettered their Toreodore opponents by a close 8-6. After Monterey, it was off to Seaside for the final game of the season. It was a tough game, but after much persistence, the Norsemen came out ahead 14-12 to tie for the MBL Championship and finish a fine season for the Freshman football team and fine future for North High Football.
