S ' The salutatorian award is the second highest scholastic award given a graduat- ing senior. Luigi Favero, havingachieved a scholastic grade point average of 3. 61, has been named the salutatorian for the Class of '63, As such, he will deliver the salutatory address. In addition to this scholastic achieve- ment, he was the former junior class president, is a member of CSF, AFS, Foreign Language Club, chess team, and math team. Luigi recently received a S5200 savings bond for winning first place in the Fourth Annual Central Math Con- test at Sunnyvale, and he placed as semi- finalist in the 1963 National Honor Soci- ety Scholarship Program. 10 S. W : 1 To be selected valedictorian is the highest honor a high school graduate can achieve in his endeavor for the best possible education The student who received this honor during her high school year is Carrie Lee Hall, who attained a scholastic grade point aver- age of 3. 78 of the possible 4. OO. Achievements which have shown Carrie's scholastic abilities include her being a California Scholarship Federation Seal- bearer Clife membershipj , Bank of America Trophy winner in Liberal Arts , Bank of America Certificate winner in Social Sci- ences, and Homemaker of Tomorrow award winner. Furthermore, she recently placed as semi-finalist in the University of Calif- ornia Regents Scholarship Program and also was semi-finalist in the California State Scholarship Program. Carrie is active in extracurricula acti- vities. She belongs to Future Teachers' Club, AFS , CSF , and National Honor l 4 Society. i
